As the oldest cultural institution in Nevada the museum, founded in 1931, provides a forum for community, visual arts activities, exhibitions and artists.  The presentations offered range from the well known to the emerging artists.  Perhaps you are interested in Frank Lloyd Wright and his work or in contemporary art designed to broaden your mind in ways you hadn't thought about before.  These and more are at the museum for you to enjoy.

For students there are tours that are designed to be interactive, age appropriate and can be constructed to accommodate a variety of curricular areas.

For the adults there are tours designed to fit the individual groups’ interests.

There are guided tours available on a first come, first served basis.  Reservations are not needed.  Offered Thursdays at 6 pm, Saturdays at 11 am and 1 pm and Sundays at 1 pm.  Spanish language tours at 2 pm on the last Saturday of the month.

Hours: Gallery and Museum Store Hours: Tues - Sun 10 - 5; Thursdays 10 - 8 with the galleries being closed on Mondays and national holidays.

Admission: $10 Adults; $8 Students/seniors 60+; $1 children 6 - 12 and children under 5 free.

Driving directions: Take I-80 to the Virginia Street exit and drive south down Virginia Street to Liberty Street.  Drive west on Liberty to the corner of Liberty and Hill Streets.  The Nevada Museum of Art is at 160 W. Liberty St.., Reno, Nevada
