Unique Attractions in Las Vegas

When most people think of Las Vegas, or Sin City as it is commonly known, images of gambling and the flashing lights of the casino floor enter their mind. You can find other things to do in Vegas, however, things that won’t get you into trouble and that won’t break the bank. The following are some of the most popular things to do and see while in the city.

 The Fountains of the Bellagio

The fountains in front of the posh Bellagio Hotel and Casino are choreographed, seemingly dancing and leaping to classical music. The fountain show begins every fifteen minutes to half an hour depending on the time of day and the day of the week. You will likely want to see the show both in the daytime and at night. This spectacle is something you do not want to miss. This show is absolutely free – you just have to be in front of the Bellagio at the right time.

 Shark Reef

The last place that most people would expect to find thriving sea life is in the middle of the desert, yet that is just what you can see at the Mandalay Bay Resort. This incredible aquarium and exhibit holds golden crocodiles, monitor lizards, sea turtles, sawfish, eels, and, of course, plenty of sharks. The cost for Shark Reef is 15.95 for adults, 10.95 for children 12 and under, and free for children under four. It is a nice treat for folks of all ages.

 MGM Lions

As improbable as sharks in the middle of the desert sounded, here are some more animals that you wouldn’t normally find wandering around Nevada. The Lion exhibit on the first floor of the MGM Grand allows you to gaze at the lions in a surprisingly natural looking habitat. Admission to see the lions is free, and there is a gift shop located nearby if you want to commemorate your visit.

 Cruise the Casinos

On just about everybody’s first visit to Las Vegas, one of the most popular and free things to do is cruise the casinos and see the unique buildings and entertainment that each has to offer. More than gambling halls, more than marvels of engineering, these casinos are experiences that must be seen.

From the Stratosphere’s rollercoaster to the massive shopping malls beneath the casinos, there is something for everyone to see from the kids to the seniors.  You can find all of these fantastic casinos and more on HotelsCombined.com at great rates for your Las Vegas vacation.
